Using History to Create Digital Stories
Project Overview:
In the next two weeks, you’ll be researching a Social Justice topic and your own family history to create a digital story. You will be introduced to digital storytelling as you go through the process of researching your family history and through inquiry into the historical time period from your family member’s life. Once you have gathered the appropriate information and family and historical photographs for their inquiry project you will use a plot diagram and storyboard to plan the sequence of events.
Historical topics should focus on the Great Depression and how if effected their family members, World War II and Japanese Internment, Women's Rights, the Civil Rights Movement, and the Vietnam War Era. There is a great deal of pride associate with publishing ones work.
